Colorectal cancer and its treatment:

The treatment of colorectal cancer must be radical. Patients with colorectal cancer at high-risk without peritoneal carcinomatosis may be treated with surgery in combination with hyperthermic intraperitoneal intraoperative chemotherapy (HIPEC) in order to prevent the development of peritoneal carcinomatosis.
